A Gig Rating is an expression of the minimum level of talent the client is looking for. These ratings are determined using several variables: type of audio (Music, SFX, V/O), length of track requested, hourly rates, and whether the Gig is for a Buyout. The higher the Gig Rating, the more Gig Points artists need to join your Gig, and thus, the higher quality of submissions.
A special provision has been included for exciting projects with no budget for charitable organizations. Artists can be asked to submit work on an Exposure Only basis. Essentially, clients are not offering any money for their work, but credit and exposure.
We strongly recommend that clients explain in detail what credit the Artist will receive in the Artist Credit field and how it will help them to gain some recognition or other benefit. To create an Exposure Only Gig, place a 0 in the prize field.
The status of a Gig is split into three sections.
At the top: "Open" indicates the Gig is accepting entries.
"Locked" indicates the client has temporarily put a hold on allowing new artists to participate.
In the middle: "Transparent" indicates that the Gig allows participating artists and the public to listen to everyone's audition.
"Non-Transparent" indicates that the Gig does not allow artists or the public to view or listen to other artist auditions.
The last line: Indicates the total number of artists participating in the Gig.
